St. Swithun’s Institute is very much a ‘Village Hall in the City’.
On the first floor we have a main hall (approx. 16m x 7.5m), with a stage area, plus kitchen facilities. The hall has a sprung wooden floor which makes it ideal for dancing. There is some lighting available and a small sound system. The hall has a capacity of 100 people.
On the ground floor there are two smaller rooms available for rent. These are ideal for workshops, training sessions, counselling etc. The small room (Trinity Room) would cater for about 10 people and the larger one (The Green Room) for about 20 people.
The Institute building is not really wheel chair accessible but we do have a stair lift to the main hall. We have newly refurbished toilets – including a disabled toilet.
